Charles Richard Mowles

Charles Richard "Buddy" Mowles passed away on June 1, 2013, in Bowie, TX. He was born on April 9, 1933, in Walters, OK and married the love of his life, Chloe Ann Burnaugh, on July 7, 1952. Following service in the USMC, the couple moved to Arlington, TX, and then settled in Euless, TX, where they raised their children, Terri, Dana and Neil.

Buddy was the General Manager of Teer Plating Company in Dallas for 45 years and, for many years, was very active in the Fisherman Sunday school class at FUMC Euless. Following retirement, Buddy and Chloe moved to Bowie, TX, where he continued his favorite hobbies of reading, gardening and cooking.

Buddy was preceded in death by his wife, Chloe, infant daughter Regina, daughter Terri Thurman, and son-in-law Loran Hibler. He is survived by daughter Dana Hibler of Bowie, son and daughter-in-law Neil and Patricia Mowles of North Richland Hills, his "like-a-daughter" niece Jana Hughes, grandchildren Jenny Thurman, Amanda and Scott Samples, Mckenzie Hibler and Madison Hibler, great-granddaughters Ellie and Harper Samples and many loving nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his life will be held on July 7. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the American Cancer Society or to the Hospice of your choice.
