Charles Michael Kennedy

Rockwall - Charles Michael Kennedy, 82, went to be with our Lord Tuesday November 8, 2022.

Funeral is 11 :00 a.m. Tuesday November 15, 2022 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd; Burial at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Fort Worth. Family will receive friends 11:00 a.m. Monday at Fate First Baptist Church in Fate, Texas.

Minister R.J. will officiate and Pallbearers include Brad Lemke, Ricky Crippen, Ross Kennedy, Jacob Kennedy, Cody Jacobs and Troy Chatham.

Charles was born October 1, 1940 in Fort Worth, Texas to Charles Leon and Una Florence (Brannon) Kennedy. He was united in marriage to Doris Jones in Forney Texas.  Charles earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Tarrant County Junior College and he was retired from sales as a self -employed Printing Equipment Business owner.  Charles was on the Board of Directors for the Meals on Wheels in Rockwall, also on the Board of Rockwall County Committee on Aging. He was a member of the Fate First Baptist Church in Rockwall, Texas, and a member of the Gideon’s. Charles was a loving brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Una Florence Kennedy, wife, Doris Jones Kennedy and son; Kevin Nix.

Those left to cherish his memory are, 3 daughters, Karen Chatham and husband Troy of Paradise, Kristi Kennedy of Paradise, Radonna Huckaby and husband Mike of Fate; Son, Scott Kennedy of Carrollton;12 grandchildren, Brad Lemke, Ricky Crippen, Ross Kennedy, Jacob Kennedy, Brayden Chatham, Holly Bennett, Heather Evans, Cody Jacobs, Hanna George, Gracie Huckaby, April Cate and Adalee Oldacre; 16 great grand- children, sister, Janet Kennedy; daughter- in-law Cindy Nix; and the mother of his children, Maxine Sparks; and numerous extended family and a host of friends.
