COTTONDALE -- Charles Neel Bridges Sr., 71, a retired reserve police officer for the city of Richland Hills and retired inventory clerk for Bell Helicopter, passed away Monday, Oct. 15, 2007, in Decatur.
Graveside service: 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in Cottondale Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Officator: Rev. Lucia McKee Kremzar and Chuck Spelling. Pallbearers: Chris Bridges, Brian Bridges, Aaron Bridges, Brian Braswell, Danny Frank, and Chad Hightower.
Mr. Bridges was preceded in death by his parents, Charles A. and Gertrude Neel Bridges; sister, Charlene Bridges; stepmother, Marie Bridges; and nephew, Mike Braswell. He was a member of Springtown Masonic Lodge and the First Presbyterian Church in Bridgeport.
Survivors: Wife of 48 years, Mary Francis; sons, Charles Neel Bridges Jr. of Fort Worth, Patrick Christopher Bridges Sr. and wife, Kari, of North Richland Hills, John Eric Bridges and fiancee, Melinda, of Weatherford, Robert Clark "Bob" Bridges of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Trey, Zachary, Christopher, Brian, Aaron, Ashley, MacKenzie, Tyler, Cody; great-grandchild, Aidan.
