AURORA -- Cecil Russell "C.R" Simmons, 86, a retired welder and part owner of Boyd Tank, died Monday, March 26, 2007 in Decatur. Officiating: Rev. Mike Boldin Honorary Pallbearers: Jared Jennings, Jason Jennings, Russell Jennings, Joshua Jennings, and Mark Powell.
Graveside service: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Aurora Cemetery. Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Wednesday. He was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Simmons, his granddaughter, Deanna Jennings, his wife of 48 years, Lorain Simmons, and his wife of 13 years, Wanda Simmons.
Survivors: daughter, Lana McKinzie and husband Hewitt of Haslett; granddaughter, Andrea Powell and husband Mark of Fort Worth; grandsons, Russell Jennings and wife Marla of Grandbury, Jason Jennings and friend Stephani of Haltom City; great grandchildren, Joshua Jennings, Deanna Powell, Jared Jennings, and Peyton Jennings; sisters, Ettie Mae Doyle, Esther Roper, and Bonnie Keen; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
