Cecil V. Burchard

Decatur ~ Cecil V. Burchard, 77, passed away Monday, November 27, 2023.

Graveside Service is 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Cottonwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends at 7:00 p.m. Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Pastor Todd Stevens will officiate.

Cecil was born June 17, 1946 to George & Alice (Sellers) Burchard in Decatur, Texas. He was united in marriage July 2, 1971 to Martha Marie Caviness in Irving, Texas. Cecil graduated ATI-Inst of Dallas, and retired from Nu-Art Printing after many years as a printer. Cecil's hobby was woodworking, which he enjoyed very much. He was a beloved husband, father, and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George & Alice Burchard; and a daughter-in-law, Regina Burchard.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Martha Marie Burchard of Decatur; his sons, Ronny Burchard and wife Melanie of Alvarado, and Christopher Michael Burchard of Decatur; his daughter, Sabrina Burchard of Gun Barrel City; grandchildren, Jacob Burchard, Jared Burchard and wife Jessica,  Nolan Burchard, Joseph McSwain, Thomas and Michealla Denham, a great-grandchild, Ava Burchard; his sister, Francis Morton and husband Thomas of Garland; nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of friends.
