It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Catherine “Crystal” Elaine Luman, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, nurse, and caregiver, who left to enter the presence of the Lord in the early hours of October 8, 2024, at the age of 71.
Crystal was born on July 16, 1953, at Eglin AFB, Florida, to James and Aurora Lewis. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Gary, for nearly 50 years, sharing a love that was a testament to their family. Together they raised three children; Sarah, Jacob and Aaron, who carry forward her values of compassion, kindness, and strength.
Crystal was most known for her sacrificial love. Her dedication to caring and serving others went beyond her nursing profession, it was a part of who she was, and she spent each day making sure others were well cared for.
Crystal is survived by her husband, Gary Luman of Decatur, TX; Daughter, Sarah Luman of Saginaw, TX; Son, Jacob Luman and wife Lindy, of Decatur, TX; Son, Aaron Luman and wife Sera of Chico, TX; Brother, Tony Lewis and wife Allison, of Woodstock, GA; Uncle, Jack Lewis and wife Geraldine of North Richland Hills, TX; and her six grandchildren: Breanna, Kylie, Michael, Lana, Micah and Josie, who she loved dearly.
Crystal is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Aurora Lewis, and sister, Lisa Lewis.
