Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007 at Hawkins Funeral Chapel. Officiating: Rev. Ken Cates. Burial: Chico Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers: Chad Turner, Thomas Turner, Berry Turner, Larry VanHoose, Richard Huddleston, Adam Stachowiak.
Mr. Turner was born Feb. 13, 1921 in Vernon, TX to Charles H. and Mary Walker Turner. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in WWII, a member of the Chico Masonic Lodge and a Methodist. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Merle Gideon Turner in 1971. Left to cherish his memory are: His sons, James Turner of Austin, Wesley Turner and wife Margarita of Dallas, Brian Turner and wife Susan of Georgetown and Kurt Turner and wife Sharon of Granbury; 9 grandchildren, Synthia, Jamie, Chad, Jeff, Kyle, Lauren, Lindsey, Thomas, Berry; 8 Great Grandchildren; 5 sisters, Cleo Hewgley of Ft. Worth, Peggy Jo Eubank of Snyder, Norma Ruth Hodge of Gallup, NM, LaRue James of Altus, OK, Rhoda Waloston of Aledo; Brother, Charles Larry Turner of Throckmorton; numerous nieces and nephews.
