Carolyn Joy Staley (Bricker) Cheatham

Decatur ~ Carolyn Joy Staley Cheatham, 89, went to be with our Lord Thursday, June 18, 2020 in Decatur, Texas.

Graveside service is  Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at Oaklawn Cemetery for Family only.

Carolyn was born October 23, 1930 to Earl Jack and Pearl Metta (Dietz) Bricker in Mobil, Alabama. She was a 1948 graduate of Central High School in St. Joseph, Missouri. Attended St. Joseph junior college for one year where she enjoyed playing volleyball and basketball. Carolyn was united in marriage May 11, 1951 to Robert William Staley in Bentonville, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Robert William Staley and Aaron Cheatham.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Gary Staley and wife Joyce, Randy Staley and wife Kathy, Cyndi Staley Herbig, and Larry Staley; her grandchildren, Hannah Herbig, Jamie Lee, Heather Straus, Haley Herbig, Harrison Staley, Ellie Staley; her great-grandchildren, Noah Lee, Loralia Lee, Dean Straus, Mark Straus; extended family and a host of friends.
