Park Springs ~ Carol Ann Houston, 68, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord Thursday, September 22, 2011 in Decatur.
Funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Victory Baptist Church in Park Springs with burial in Cumby Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
Rev. Willie Joe Haak will officiate. Pallbearers are Donnie Houston, Darrell Houston, David Houston, Danny Houston, Dale Houston, and Paul Agnew.
Carol was born on November 16, 1942 to Walter and Katie (Childress) Cape in Corona, New Mexico. She married Donald Houston on June 9, 1960 in Lovington, New Mexico. Carol was a devoted wife, mom, and grandmother to her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents. her sisters, Vivian Lawrence and Mona Standard and husband Lee Roy; and her brother, Ron Cape.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 51 years, Donald Wayne Houston; her children, Donna Robinson and husband Dennis, Donnie Houston and fiancee Glenna Elmore, Darrell Houston and wife Eva, Diane Weigart and husband A.C., David Houston and fiancee Brenda Anderson, Danny Houston and wife Sharon, and Dale Houston and fiancee Rachel Pryor; her sisters, Vivian Lawrence and Mona Standard and husband Lee Roy; and her brother, Ron Cape; numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other family members and a host of friends.
