Oklahoma ~ Carl W. Steward, 91, retired civil service United States Air Force, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, June 17, 2014 in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Chico Cemetery. Family will receive friends 1-2 p.m. Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home.

Carl was born on May 23, 1923 to Jesse and Lillie (Hanshaw) Steward in Hydro, Oklahoma. He was united in marriage to Ernestine Herriott on January 26, 1956 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Carl proudly served his country as a contracting officer for the United States Army and Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Delpha and Joe Steward.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 58 years, Ernestine Herriott Steward of Wichita Falls; his son, Bill Steward and wife Kelly of Byers, Texas; his grandchildren, Amie Steward, Eb Steward and wife Allison, Karey Beth Steward, Charlie Mae Steward, Kewpie Steward, Rachel Cox, Raleigh Cox and wife Jacee; 5 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Juanita Trent, Ina Sergesketter, and Nina Fields; his brother, Burt Steward and wife Barbara; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
