Decatur ~ Calvin Woolaver, 94, a retired rancher, went to be with our Lord Sunday, April 28, 2019 in Krum.
Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Decatur with burial in Bethel Cemetery, reception at Candlewood Suites in Decatur immediately following. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hawkins Funeral Home.
B ro. James Fellers will officiate. Pallbearers include Wayne Berg, Ron Saunders, Roger Johnson, Bobby Winkler, Billy Swiger, Robert Holt and Curtis Anderson.
Calvin was born on October 8, 1924 to Charles F. and Pauline (Gill) Woolaver in Decatur. He was united in marriage to Jimmie Jo Fellers on September 1, 1950 in Waurika, Ok. Calvin retired from his pharmaceutical plant manager career and pursued a career in ranching. He proudly served our country in the United States Army. Calvin was a beloved father, uncle and friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jimmie Jo Woolaver; his brothers, J.V. Woolaver, and Ray Woolaver; and his sister, Maye Lefler.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his son, Wayne Woolaver and wife Cheryl of Krum; his brother, Bill Woolaver of Decatur; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
