Byron Alonzo Denton

Bridgeport ~ Byron Alonzo Denton, 82, went to be with our Lord Saturday, February 3, 2018.

Memorial service is 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel.

Byron was born on January 20, 1936 to Lonnie and Mary Denton in Knox City, Texas. He was united in marriage to Sue Griffin on August 1, 1968 in Arlington.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Mary; his brother, Sammy; his grandson, Bradley Brotherton.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 49 years, Sue Denton of Bridgeport; his daughter, Angela Denton; his sons, Robbie Poole and wife Becky and Kenny Poole and wife Denise; his grandchildren, Taylor Neiswonger, Zachary Neiswonger, Nicholas Brotherton and wife Sarah, Scott Poole and wife Georgette, Michael Poole and wife Tricia, Chad Nichols and wife Jennifer; 8 great grandchildren; his sister, Linda Ogle and husband Shelton; his nephews, Eric Ogle and Scott Ogle; numerous cousins, and a host of friends.
