Rhome: Bonnie Smith, 74, went to be with our Lord, Sunday, May 26, 2013 in Denton, Texas.
Funeral is 10 a.m. Thursday, May 30th at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Mark Webb and Jeff Tackett officiating. Interment: Laurel Land Cemetery in Dallas. Family will receive friends 6:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Bonnie was born January 9, 1939 in Dallas, Texas to Mark and Rebecca Carothers. She was united in marriage to Boyd Weldon "Smitty" Smith on September 20, 1958. She retired from Love Travel Agency in Carrollton after 15 years of service. She was a volunteer for Wise Regional Hospital Auxiliary and she was a member of the Countryside Fellowship Church.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Greg Smith and wife Kari; two grandchildren, Jordan and Shayne Smith all of Rhome; other family members and a host of friends.
