BRIDGEPORT: Bobby Jack Gardner, 78, a self-employed business owner went to be with our Lord Thursday, December 30, 2010 in Bridgeport.
Memorial Service: 2 p.m. Sunday at Hawkins Funeral Chapel. Family will receive friends 1-2 p.m. Sunday before the service.
The Reverend Gary Sessions will officiate.
Bobby was born on November 9, 1932 to Jack and Ova (Stockard) Gardner in Bowie. He married Doris Howell on January 7, 1956 in Gainesville. Bobby was the owner of Wise Paint and Body.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Kimberly Ann Gardner; his son, Ricky James Gardner; and his brother, Don Gardner.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 55 years, Doris Howell Gardner of Bridgeport; his son, Billy Jack Gardner and partner, Will Boren of Plano; his daughters, Bobbie Gonzales and husband Al of Moultrie, Georgia, Brend Howell of Bridgeport, and Sandra Hillary and husband Pat of Decatur; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; his brothers, Charles Gardner and Gary Gardner; his sisters, Glenna Essory, Carolyn Howard, and Mary Robertson; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and a host of friends.
