Paradise ~ Bobby Dale Doty, 80 a retired machinist, went to be with our Lord Thursday, July 31, 2014 in Paradise.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in DFW National Cemetery. No visitation.
Rev. Gerre Joiner will officiate.
Bobby was born on June 21, 1934 to Thomas Earl and Margaret Olive (Robinson) Doty in Tekamah, Nebraska. He was united in marriage to Gloria Mae Shephard on June 23, 1957 in Reno, Nevada. Bobby retired from Lockheed after 30 years of service as a machinist. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy. Bobby was a Korean War Veteran. He was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gloria Mae Doty.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughters, Tamara Lynn Madrid and husband Patrick of Pflugerville, Texas, Jo Ann Doty of Paradise, and Carol Marie Doty Shuker of Paradise; his son-in-law, Derek Shuker of Gainesville; his grandchildren, Ashley Doty, Anthony Madrid, Edward Madrid, Garrett Brewster, Collin Doty, Allie Madrid, Jena Doty McDaniel, Raven LeAnn Brewster, and Trever Dale Shuker; his great-grandchild, Aubree Dawn McDaniel; his brothers, John Doty and wife Phyllis of Locust Grove, and James Doty of San Jose, California; his sisters, Alice Bauder and husband Calvin of Colleyville, and Linda Niccum and husband Tom of Santa Clara, California; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
