Bobby Champ Jones, 84, of Jacksboro, Texas, entered into eternal rest on September 15, 2025, surrounded by the grace and peace of his Lord and Savior.
Born on January 30, 1941, in Knox City, Texas, Bobby was the beloved son of Casey and Berniece Jones. Throughout his life, Bobby’s faith was his foundation. He was a devoted member of Bridgeport Methodist Church, where he served faithfully and joyfully, often volunteering with Sunday School and supporting the church however he could. His quiet service and deep belief in God touched many lives.
Bobby had a natural curiosity and a passion for technology. He loved computers, gadgets, and anything that challenged him to learn and explore — a gift he used in many roles throughout his working years. He spent his life fueled by a love for computers and gadgets, always curious and eager to learn. His career took him through many paths, often centered around his technical skills and knack for troubleshooting anything electronic.
Though his journey was marked by sorrow, especially with the passing of his beloved wife Dana and infant daughter Sara Berniece on January 1, 2002, Bobby held firmly to his faith, trusting in God’s promises and finding comfort in the hope of eternal reunion.
He is survived by his son, Casey Martin Jones; his brother-in-law, James Radcliffe of Runaway Bay, TX; his nephew, Tege Radcliffe, also of Runaway Bay; and his niece, Tia Langston, and her husband Mark of Somersworth, NH.
In addition to his wife and daughter, he was preceded in death by his parents, Casey and Berniece Jones, and his sister, Bettye Dianne Radcliffe.
Bobby’s family finds peace in knowing he is now in the presence of the Lord, reunited with loved ones, and free from all earthly burdens. Bobby will be remembered for his kind heart, sharp mind, and quiet devotion to family, faith, and the joy he found in life's little technologies.
A memorial service will be held at 10 AM at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Bridgeport Methodist Church or to a ministry or charity that reflects Bobby’s love for Christ and others.
