Bobbie Alene Laing

Bobbie Alene Laing, 63, of Decatur went to be with her Lord Thursday, March 5th, 2026 in Plano, Texas.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 13th at House of Prayer in Newark, Texas with burial at Aurora Cemetery.

Rick Neathery will officiate.

Bobbie was born May 22, 1962 to Harold Joe and Eva Charlene (Hopper) Norris, Sr. in Ft. Worth, Texas. She was united in marriage November 8, 1997 to Michael Laing in Richardson, Texas. Bobbie was a retired editorial writer. She was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Norris, Sr.; her husband, Mike Laing; and her daughter, Angela Charlene Timmons.

Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Charlene Norris of Decatur; her daughter, April Kelly of Colorado Springs, Colorado; her son, Jeremy Timmons of Decatur; her sisters, Larenda Phelps and husband Lee of NRH, Rebecca Stephenson and husband Ken of NRH; her brother, Harold Norris, Jr. of Decatur; grandsons, Aiden, Sean, Quinn, River Duke of Colorado Springs, Colorado; grandsons Logan and Graydon Laing of Rowlett, and Lucas Froeschl of Garland ; her step-sons, Cameron & William Laing of Plano; her previous husband, Daniel Timmons of Corpus Christi; baby girl Pepper, her dog; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
