FUNERAL: 10:30 A.M. Thursday, July 12, 2007 at Community Church in Decatur with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery. Rev. John Redfearn will officiate. Family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Billy Kent Rutherford was born in Midland, Texas on July 21, 1949 to Billy Moore and Mary Smith Rutherford. Billy Kent served in the Natonal Guard. He married his wife, Paula Fitts, on February 3, 1979, in Bowie, Texas. He held a Juris Doctorate of Law and was an accountant in Decatur. He is preceded in death by his Father, Billy Moore Rutherford.

SURVIVORS include his loving wife of 28 years, Paula Rutherford of Decatur; Son, Kaleb Kent Rutherford and wife Emily of Decatur; Daughter, Paula-Beth Toller and husband Michael of Virden, Illinois; Mother, Mary Rutherford of Decatur; Sister, Merrilee Morris and husband Billie T of Decatur; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
