Decatur ~ Billy Ray Jackson, 83, a retired engineer, went to be with our Lord Monday, June 15, 2015 in Decatur.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Greenwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Rev. Dennis Hudson will officiate. Pallbearers Larry Dill, Charles Dill, Terry Harris, Gary Gage, and Willie Gordon.
Billy was born on November 28, 1931 to Ted and Laura (Hunter) Jackson in Montague County, Texas. He was united in marriage to Nadene Moore on February 14, 2012 in Fort Worth. Billy retired from Bell Helicopter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Eva Jo Jackson.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 3 years, Nadene Gage of Fort Worth; his daughter, Janice Bird and husband Randy of Longview; his son, Elvin Jackson of Decatur; 4 grandchildren, Brionne Jackson, Jeremy Jackson, Scarlet Danner, and Amber Bird; 4 great grandchildren, Brelynn, C.J., Jackson, and Cash; his sisters, Qunida Gage, Jewel Dill, and Shirley Brogdon; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
