Visitation will be Tuesday, March 21, 2017 from 11 am - 12 pm at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.
Billy was born on August 7, 1953 to Billy and Ruth (Holden) Gilbert in Houston, Texas. He was united in marriage to Mary Ann Burns on August 25, 1983 in Rhome. Billy was a Foreman for commercial construction.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 34 years, Mary Gilbert of Rhome; his daughters, Tabitha Martin and husband Randy of Springtown, Tammy Lane and husband Larry of Malakoff; his son, David Gilbert and wife Courtney of Alvarado; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; his mother, Ruth Gilbert of Mabank; his sisters, Connie Carter and husband John of Mabank, Sheree Graves and husband Ronnie of Kemp, Lori Clark and husband Andy of Mabank; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
