Decatur ~ Billy Ray Bramlett, 92, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, December 13, 2017 in Fort Worth.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 16, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Decatur with burial in Preskitt Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.
David Lowrie and Van Gardner will officiate. Pallbearers include Mason Hudson, Michael Reeves, Joshua Reeves, Sean Reeves, Brenden Kerby, and Trey Wadlington. Honorary pallbearers are Kevin Pate, Richie Pate, Steve Pate, Joey Rodell, Jeff Rodell, and John Rodell.
Billy was born on October 3, 1925 to Bill and Ola Bell (Collier) Bramlett in Decatur, Texas. Billy was a musician and retired state barber inspector. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Decatur. Billy served his country in the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gwendolyn Joy Bramlett and his son, Rodney Moore.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughters, Deborah René Bramlett Claxton of Fort Worth, Stacie Rae Bramlett Hudson and husband Michael “Buba” of Decatur; his son, Clint Mathew Moore of Buffalo, Texas; his grandchildren, Michael Reeves, Joshua Reeves, Mason Hudson, Eric Hudson, Gwendolyn Harper; his great grandchildren, Sean Reeves, Madison Reeves, Makena Reeves; numerous extended family, and a host of friends.
