BOYD -- Bill Rickman, 86, of Boyd, a retired aircraft electrician for General Dynamics, went to be with our Lord on Monday, April 12, 2010, at his home.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home. Interment: Boyd Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Rev. Jimmy Withers will officiate.
Bill was born on December 9, 1923, the son of William and Maude Alice (Buck) Rickman. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #479, the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Scottish Rite. He was a member of the Briar Baptist Church.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys; one grandson, James Rickman; brother, James Rickman; and three sisters, Edith Riley, Edna Grant and JoAnn Yoder.
Those left behind to cherish his memory: son, Eddie Rickman of Boyd; daughter, Peggy Sue Caraway and husband, Ed of Azle; grandchildren, David Rickman, Dianna Landin and husband, Carl, Billy Caraway and wife, Layla; sister, Lois Beaty; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
