Betty Jo Weeks

Betty Jo Weeks, 79, of Alvord passed from this earth Thursday, February 12, 2026 in Denton, Texas.

Graveside Service is 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 19th at Kleberg Cemetery in Dallas County, receiving friends an hour before the service at cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 18th at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Lane Farr will officiate.

Betty Jo was born August 29, 1946 to Levy and Artie Mae Essary in Dallas, Texas. She was united in marriage October 29th, 1962 to Floyd Lee Weeks, Sr. in Dallas. Betty was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Levy and Artie Mae Essary; her husband, Floyd Lee Weeks, Sr.; her daughter, Kathy Gravely and her son, Phillip Weeks.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Delores St. Clair and husband Les of Alvord. Her son, Floyd Lee Weeks, Jr. and wife Julie of Balch Springs; her grandchildren, Norman III, Phillip, Jr., Chad, Brandon, Floyd III; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; numerous extended Family and a host of friends.
