Betty Laverne Brock

Decatur ~ Betty Laverne Brock, 83, a retired LVN, went to be with our Lord Saturday, May 12, 2018 in Decatur.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Rick Ross will officiate. Pallbearers are her grandsons George Zoorob, Clint Skinner, Triston Skinner, Stephen Brock, Josh Groham and Austin Brock.

Betty was born on September 16, 1934 to Ben Hardin and Johnnie Clara (Hardee) McCasland in Bridgeport, Texas. She was united in marriage to Charles Luther Brock on October 24, 1952 in Decatur. Betty enjoyed gardening, sewing and cooking. She was a member for Decatur Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are son, Steve Brock and wife Lydia of Decatur; her daughters, Debbie McCullough, Teresa Broach and husband Joe and Clarissa Zoorob all of Decatur; her brothers Don McCasland, Royce McCasland, Jerl McCasland all of Dallas and Berl McCasland of Slidell; her sister Gail Stewart of Dallas; 7 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
