Barbara Lee (Stanford) Hill

Boyd ~ Barbara Lee Hill, 80, went to be with our Lord on Monday, August 1, 2016 in Decatur.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 5, 2016 at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Rev. Mark Autry will officiate.

Barbara was born on July 1, 1936 to Joseph and Ethel (Lone) Stanford in Chattanooga, Oklahoma. She was united in marriage to Charlie O'Dell Hill on March 25, 1957 in Weatherford. Barbara was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Barbara was a person full of banter whom loved to laugh with friends and family. Barbara was a person who loved to laugh and was known for her witty banter among family and friends.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charlie O'Dell Hill; her sons, Tony Hill and Charley Dean Hill; her brothers, Wayne Oliver Stanford and James Franklin Stanford; and her sisters, Lavada Ruth Johnson and Martha Louise Johnson.

Those left behind to cherish her memory is her grandson, Casey Hill; her granddaughter, Toni Mechelle Hill; her great granddaughters, Caroline and Alexandra Rogerson; her sister, Mae M. Scribner; other family members and a host of friends.
