Barbara Ann (Woody) Cole

Decatur ~ Barbara Ann Cole, 77, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, February 15, 2023.

Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Charles Day will officiate.

Barbara was born March 20, 1945 to Samuel Paul and Barbara Hauteen (Neff) Woody in Floydada, Texas. She was united in marriage July 23, 1979 to Scott E. Cole in Del Norte, Colorado. Barbara was an accountant for many years and a member of New Fairview Baptist Church. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Barbara Woody; and a son, Richard Alan Ensey.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Russell Warren Nichols and wife Sherri of Colorado City, Stephan Paul Ensey of Decatur, and James Edward Cole and wife Kimberly of Clyde; daughter, Amie Renee Cole King and husband Shannon of Abilene; brothers, Sam Woody and wife Darla of Lubbock, Carroll Woody and wife Jana of Floresville, Mark Woody and wife Lynda of Roswell, New Mexico; her sisters, Sharon Taylor and husband Phillip of Shallowater, Janice Smalling of Keller, and Deonne Lee and husband Tim of Shallowater; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; several generations of nieces , nephews and a host of friends.
