Decatur: Artie Dell Weber, 91, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, May 23, 2009 in Decatur.
Funeral service is 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 26th at the Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bobby Cates officiating. Interment will follow the service at Rush Creek Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Monday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Scott Weber, Keith Weber, Damon Marx, Harry Dickens, Greg Weber and Gary Weber.
Artie was born on June 11, 1917 in Forestburg, Texas to John Hugh and Hester Hogan Ford. She married Charlie Rudolph Weber on February 12, 1939 in Decatur, Texas. Artie was a member of the Women's Missionary Union (WMU) and a member of the First Baptist Church in Slidell.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Ronnie Weber and wife, Melba of Bowie; Roger Weber and wife, Carla of Decatur; daughter, Sharon Marx and husband, Robert of Carrollton; six grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Gus Weber of Houston.
Artie is preceded in death by her husband of almost 53 years; 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
