DECATUR -- Arnold Albert Meyer, 66, a retired Pilot, died Sunday, February 18, 2007 at Arlington, Texas.
Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Chapel. Burial: 10 a.m. Friday at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas. Father Sojan George will officiate. The military Honor Guard will serve as pallbearers. Visitation: 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Arnie was born December 4, 1940 to Walter and Reka Schultz Meyer in Fonda, Iowa. He married Nancy Stein September 5, 1964 in Manson, Iowa. Arnie was a pilot for the U.S. Airforce and served 2 tours in Vietnam. He retired from United Airlines. He was active in the VFW, the OV-10 Bronco Association and the River Rats Association. Arnie was also a member of the Lutheran Church.
