Ann (Prause) Carter

Chico ~ Ann Carter, 84, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, July 15, 2014 in Bridgeport.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2014 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Chico Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Rev. Gary Sessions will officiate. Pallbearers include Leslie Hardin, Priscilla Hardin, Chief John Hobbs, Holly Brooks, Terry Hand and Doug Blanks.
Ann was born on March 30, 1930 to Richard and Anna (Hentchel) Prause in Grulish, Czechoslovakia. She was united in marriage to Ralph Carter on December 29, 1953 in Hammelburg, Germany.
Ann was preceded in death by her son, Michael Carter and her daughter, Linda Blanks.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 60 years, Ralph Carter of Chico; her daughters, Wendy Denney of Louisiana, Joyce O’Dell and husband Wayland of Balsora; her grandchildren, Kelcey, Jeremy, Jerod, Haley, and Leland; her sister, Bergitta Prinze of Germany; other family members and a host of friends.
