Decatur: On May 5, 2010, an angel came during the night and took Anita Torres Moran, 65, to heaven to be with our Father.
Funeral service is 2 p.m. Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with Father Simon Torrez officiating. Interment will follow service at Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home prior to service.
Anita was born May 28, 1944 in Rosebud, Texas to Jose and Mary Veracruz Torres. She married Manuel Moran on April 14, 1962 in Waco, Texas. For the next 19 years, she traveled and raised two daughters as Technical Sergeant Manuel Moran's wife. Their travels included Puerto Rico, Nebraska, Spain, North Dakota, Alaska, Ohio and Arizona.
