Andrew Chase Walker

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Jim Ned Cemetery in Runaway Bay. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Rev. Joey Vick will officiate. Pallbearers include Manual Esquivel, Chad Walker, Dylan Vincent, Tyler Hunter, Dylan Leija, Michael McDaniel, Levi Forbus, Wesley Moody, and Nicholas Leija.

Andrew was born on December 2, 1991 to Steven and Robin (Gee) Walker in Decatur, Texas. He graduated from Bridgeport High School in 2011. Andrew worked for Fowler Transportation as a crane rigger.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl and Margie Walker.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his mother, Robin Ann McKinney and husband Willy Jack Vincent of Chico; his father, Steve Walker and wife Wynette of Bridgeport; his brothers, Ben North of Chico and Chad Walker of Bridgeport; his sister, Kayla Walker of Durant, Oklahoma; his stepbrothers, Dylan Vincent of Bridgeport and Rodney Dunn of Bridgeport; his stepsister, Stephanie Dunn of Bridgeport; his grandparents, Lois and Roy Hunter of Chico; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

Andrew was a dear friend to me, he was a hard working honest and reliable young man. We spent many months together on the road traveling from Rig to Rig along with Manny. I would have wanted to work with no one else. I guess I was the old fart of the group, but together as a team we worked miracles. Now let's talk fishing, there was always a fish story between us and every time I went Andrew was sure to receive a video just to rub it in a little bit!! God rest his soul and I know he is at peace now and for eternity, looking down on me every time I bait a hook.
