Andrea Frances Mae (Batcho) Strickland –

Born December 2nd, 1947- Passed June 15th, 2026. Andrea Frances Strickland, 78 went to be with our Lord on Monday, 15 June 2026, in Chico, Texas. Andrea was born on December 2, 1947, to Andrew J. Batcho and Francis Lorena (Connor) Batcho in Denver, Colorado. Andrea was united in marriage to Patrick D. Strickland on July 21, 1976, in Albany, Georgia. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Decatur, Texas. She carried a Bachelor of Science at the University of North TX. and retired after years of service with the TDFPS in Decatur, TX. Andrea was blessed with a large, loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband, her sons Joseph Farrington and Robert Waters, her parents, and her sisters Roberta Cobaugh and Velma Eileen Haigh, and her grandson James Thomas Waters. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, James S Waters and wife Angela of Bowie, Texas, Jonathan Strickland of Chico, Texas, Charlie Addington and wife Lori of McCloud, Oklahoma, William Addington and wife Lawanda of McCloud, Oklahoma; daughters Patricia Hargon and husband Greg of Little Elm, Texas, and Kimela Addington of Duncan, Oklahoma.

Andrea was blessed with a large and loving family, including 25 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister, Mary Gunter of Florida; her sister-in-law, Nancy Ennis of Decatur, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family members; and a host of dear friends.

Funeral service will be held at 3 PM Sunday, 21 June 2026, at the Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport, Texas.

Andrea will be remembered for her love of family, her faith, and the lasting impact she made on all who knew her. Her memory will be treasured forever.
