Rhome ~ Alvin Kenneth Brammer, 93, a retired mechanic, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, February 4, 2015 in Decatur.
Graveside service is 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 6, 2015 at Aurora Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Rev. Gerre Joiner will officiate.
Kenneth was born on July 16, 1921 to Walter and Alice (Nesmith) Brammer in Rhome, Texas, where he has resided most of his life on the home place. He retired from Lockheed (formerly General Dynamics) after 35 years of service. Kenneth was a member of First Baptist Church of Rhome.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Melba Thomas Brammer; his sister, Ruth Harlen Frye; and his dear friend, Betty Specht.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his brother, Billy Ray Brammer of Benbrook; his sister, Gloria Ann Dustman of Santa Fe, and his loving nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to sincerely thank Ronnie Moore of Rhome, Kenneth’s dear friend and neighbor for caring for him in his final years.
