Chico ~ Alma Jean Taylor, 71, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord Thursday, December 3, 2015 in Chico.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 6, 2015 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Pleasant Grove # 3 Cemetery in Alvord. Family will receive friends 2-4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Rev. Bill Cleveland will officiate. Pallbearers include Chuck Smith, Rick Morales, Todd Buckner, David Green, Larry Mader Jr., and Rodney Casey. Honorary pallbearers are C.P. Smith Jr., Donnie Parker, Leonard Denney, Kenneth Buckner, Larry Mader Sr., and Tim Hand.
Alma was born on May 19, 1944 to Jewell and Lucile (Beavers) Sanders in Borger, Texas. She was united in marriage to Robert Taylor on April 11, 1963. Alma was a member of the First Baptist Church in Alvord.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Taylor; and her brother, J.W. Sanders.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Ricky Taylor and wife Stacey of Alvord; her grandchildren, Rhett Taylor, Randi LuAnn Taylor, Raider D. Taylor all of Alvord; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.
