Alberto Chavez, 44, went to be with our Lord September, 21 2021 in Tyler, Texas.

Mass of Christian Burial is to be celebrated at 10:30 AM Tuesday at the Assumption Catholic Church in Decatur with burial following in Oaklawn Cemetery.   Visitation is 6-8 PM Monday with a Rosary at 7 PM at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.  Pallbearers:  Hector Garcia, Felipe Garcia, Sergio Sanchez, Sergio Sanchez Jr., Alberto Chavez Jr., Axsel Chavez.  Honorary pallbearers: Leo Garcia and Roberto Garcia Jr.

Alberto was born January 5, 1977 to Juan and Lorena (Gallegos) Chavez in Ojocaliente, Mexico.  He was a overland truck driver.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Aly Chavez of College Station; his parents, Juan and  Lorena Chavez of Decatur; his brother, Juan Pablo Chavez and wife Norma of Mexico; his sisters, Silvia Sanchez of Decatur, Esmeralda Garcia and husband Hector of Decatur, Amanda Garcia and husband Felipe of Decatur; nieces and nephews, Paulina and Cale Solomon, Sergio Sanchez, Axsel Chavez, Roberto Garcia Jr., Sadie Garcia, Monse Chavez, Leo Garcia and Benjamin Garcia.
