RHOME -- Albert Timms,74, a retired drilling engineer went to be with our Lord, Sunday, May 30, 2010 in Fort Worth. Graveside 5 p.m. Thursday at Aurora Cemetery. Officiating is Rev. Jimmy Withers and Rev. Randy Slimp. Visitation: 6-8 P.M.Wednesday at Christian-Hawkins Chapel.
Albert was born on September 3,1935 in Morgan, Tx. to Albert Sr. and Ilene (Cook) Timms. He married Dollie Locklar on October 4,1986 in Midland,Tx. Albert served in the United States Army from 1953-1955. He worked for El Paso Natural Gas 1955-1985 and Western Gas 1985-1990.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Bobby Timms.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Florence "Dottie" Timms of Rhome, daughters, Stephanie Drewry of Lawton,Oklahoma, and Mitzi Jones of Meridian Tx. 4 grandchildren, Morgan & Cade Drewry, Daniel Evans and Cody Salinas, brothers, Donnie Timms of Cleburne, and James Charles Timms of Oklahoma and numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
