Alvord ~ Albert Simon Johnson, 92, a manager, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, June 10, 2015 in Decatur.
Funeral is 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 12, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Alvord with burial at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service Friday at the church.
Rev. Bill Cleveland will officiate. Pallbearers include Rick Clark, Brady Webb, Casey Talley, Chase Daniels, Matthew Lane, and Sean Kirkpatrick.
Albert was born on September 12, 1922 to Y.J. and Annie (Nials) Johnson in Yukon, Oklahoma. He was united in marriage to Cortez Goza on September 25, 1940 in Marlow, Oklahoma. Albert served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a manager for Jet Engine Company for 17 years. Albert was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Cortez Johnson; his daughter, Sharon Joyce Johnson; his grandson, Wesley Warren; his great grandson, Coleman Kamper.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his son, Al Johnson and wife Sharon of Alvord; his daughters, Janice Eichman and husband Bill of Alvord, and Jeanette Baker and husband Calvin of Alvord; 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
