Alan Hubert-Ray Horne

Bridgeport ~ Alan Hubert-Ray Horne, 53, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, in Decatur.

Funeral Service is 2:00 p.m. Monday at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial at West Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Alan was born on December 31, 1972, to David Harold and Lois (Burroughs) Horne in Bridgeport. He was united in marriage to Jennifer Barnes on November 29, 2008, at Zion Valley Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Chico. Alan worked for New Tex Industries as a diesel technician. He was also a cherished member of the Zion Valley Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Chico. Alan was a beloved husband, father, brother, nephew, and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother, Lucinda Horne; and his brothers, Michael Gilbert and Joshua Teddlie.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 17 years, Jennifer Horne of Bridgeport; his daughter, Raelyn Horne of Bridgeport; his brothers and sisters, James Gilbert and his wife, Rita of Boyce, Louisiana, William Gilbert of Little Rock, Arkansas, Mary Asmus and her husband, Willie of Little Rock, Arkansas, Mark Gilbert of Little Rock, Arkansas, Crystal Rose and her husband, Terry of Columbus, Georgia, David Horne and his wife, Alicia “Cissy” of Columbus, Georgia, and Carrie Gilbert of Little Rock, Arkansas; his uncle, Freddy Horne of Longview; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
