A.J. Clark, Sr

Funeral service is 2 p.m. Thursday, February 18th at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Chris Brown and Lewis Coomer officiating. Burial will follow in Sycamore Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

A.J. was born April 5, 1945 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Loan W. and Gladys Stafford Clark. He married Mary Kathleen Driskell on September 15, 1995. He retired from Miller's Brewery and worked in maintenance at Wise Regional Health Systems. In his early years, A.J. traveled with The Clarks, a family band, all over the United States.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 14 years, Mary Clark of Decatur; four sons, A.J. Clark, Jr., Wes Cleve Clark and wife, Leslie all of Nashville, Tenneesse, Jerry Beck of Bridgeport, Michael Beck and wife, Sreybonn of Richland Hills; four daughters, Angela Parr Morgan and husband, Steven of Fort Worth; Felicia Curtiss and husband, Michael of Nashville; Angela Ward and husband, Russ of Clarksville, Tennessee; Debbie Beck and fiance', Derwin Tanner of Decatur; 11 grandchildren, Joey, Trey, Joshua Parr, Riley Curtiss, A. J. Clark, III, Artie Clark, Justin and Elizabeth Beck, Brittany and Victoria Walker, and Crystal Wilkinson; sister, Vivian Loraine Bond of Oklahoma.

A.J. is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jasper and Tommy Clark; and sister, Margaret Lambeth.
