Rosemary (Gilmer) Jones

Alvord ~ Rosemary Jones, 75, went to be with our Lord Saturday, March 30th, 2024.

Funeral is 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 5th, 2024 at First Baptist Church in Alvord with burial at Alvord Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Bill Cleveland will officiate. Pallbearers include David Goodwin, Jack Garrison, Todd Buckner, Terry Abbott, Rusty Hand, Ron Williams, and Kyle Dickerson.

Rosemary was born November 28th, 1948 to Claude and Joyce A. (Sutton) Gilmer, Sr. in Haskell County, Texas. She was united in marriage June 22nd, 1967 to Dwain Nolan Jones in Dallas, Texas.  Rosemary was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dwain Nolan Jones.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Angela Cottrell and husband Brett of London, Arkansas; grandsons, Benjamin Cottrell and wife Cheyenne of Louisville, Kentucky, and Matthew Cottrell and wife Lindsey of Russellville, Arkansas; her brother, Claude Gilmer, Jr. and wife Pat of Lone Oak; her sister, Claudia Blalock; extended family members and a host of friends.
