Marion Margaret (Paul) Burr

Runaway Bay ~ Marion Margaret Paul Burr, 97, a retired teacher, went to be with our Lord Saturday, December 9, 2017 in Decatur.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 15, 2017 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in Eternal Oaks Cemetery in Runaway Bay. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers include Sid Wagner, Terry Smith, Ryan Macomb, and Jason Macomb.

Marion was born on March 13, 1920 to Clyde and Lillian (Steven) Paul in Houston, Texas. She was united in marriage to Allen Burr on July 10, 1963 in Houston. Marion earned her bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Houston and taught 4th grade until her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Allen Burr; her daughter, Barbara Macomb, and her great grandchild, Rylan Macomb.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Paul Burr of Runaway Bay; her daughter, Beverly Wagner and husband Sid of Carrollton; her son, Jack Burr and wife Susan of Rockport, Texas; her son, John Burr and wife Ruth of Houston; her grandchildren, Kristin Smith, Ryan Macomb, Jason Macomb, Debbie Personette, Cindy Merrick, and Kimberly Vincent; her great grandchildren, Sydney Smith, Avery Macomb, Morgan Macomb, Robert Merrick, Sam Merrick, Emma Vincent, and Bradly Vincent;  her great nephew, Ron Pettit; other family members and a host of friends.
