John Daniel Caster

Decatur ~ John Daniel Caster, 86, passed from this earth on Friday, March 8th, 2024.

Funeral is 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 16th, 2024 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Decatur. Family will receive friends Friday 6-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

John was born February 28th, 1938 to John Daniel and Ruby (Wall) Caster in Irving, Texas. He was united in marriage May 20, 1988 to Barbara Ann Andrews in Irving, Texas. John graduated Irving High School and was a painter/printer most of his life. In his later years he sat on the beach, which he most enjoyed the water and serenity of the ocean. He was a beloved father, step-father, uncle and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Caster.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Quintin and Donald Caster of Watauga; his step-sons, Troy and Mike Derrick of Kentucky; nieces, Laura Martin of Decatur, and Erica Hollingsworth of Quinland; extended family members and a host of friends.
