Boyd ~ Morris Cilvester Burcham, 84, a retired aircraft mechanic, went to be with our Lord Thursday, September 13, 2018 in Azle.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Boyd. Family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Rev. Fred Raney will officiate.
Morris was born January 20, 1934 to Henry and Verona (Rinehart) Burcham in Rienzi, Mississippi. He was united in marriage to Barbara Sue Harden on November 28, 1964 in Weatherford. Morris proudly served our country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War era. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Morris retired from Bell Helicopter after 33 years of service as an aircraft mechanic.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Brad Ballew; his grandsons, Gerald Burcham and Jeff Reid, and his brother, Harold Vernon Burcham and his wife Mary.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 53 years, Barbara Burcham of Boyd; his sons, Ricky Burcham and wife Amy of Killeen, Morris Burcham of Huntsville, and Chris Burcham of Rienzi, Mississippi; his daughters, Gay Ballew of Fort Worth, and Debbie Reid and husband Perry of Rhome; his 13 grandchildren; his 14 great grandchildren; his compassionate and loving caregivers at Azle Manor, that showed him kindness, compassion, and respect up until his final moments; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
