Decatur ~ Guadalupe Galindo Herrera, 72, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord Monday, January 7, 2019, in Decatur.
Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 12, 2019, at Assumption Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will hold visitation 5-7 p.m. Friday with a 7:00 p.m. Rosary at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Decatur.
Guadalupe was born on January 4, 1947, to Ancelmo and Ildefonsa (Reina) Herrera in Zaragoza, Coahuila, Mexico. She was united in marriage to Melchor Galindo Montes on January 22, 1964, in Zaragoza, Coahuila, Mexico. Guadalupe was a member of Assumption Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Decatur.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ancelmo Herrera and Ildefonsa Reina; her sister, Maria del Refugio Herrera Reyna.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of almost 55 years in marriage, Melchor Galindo of Decatur, her children, Fernando Javier Galindo, Arnulfo Galindo, Sergio Galindo, Baldemar Galindo and wife Martha Galindo, Griselda Galindo-Vargas and husband Antonio Vargas all of Decatur; her grandchildren, (Fernando) Nicholas Galindo, Gina Galindo, Celeste Valentina Galindo, (Arnulfo) Gerardo Galindo, Yanira Galindo, Adriana Galindo, (Sergio) Alexandro Galindo, Miguel Angel Galindo, Carlos Galindo, (Baldemar) Ancelmo Galindo, Patricio Galindo, (Griselda) Julio Ceasar Galindo, and Victoria Vanidad Galindo. She had 3 great grandchildren. Also living and cherishing her memory are her sisters and brothers, Maria Teresita Herrera Reyna, Maria Anita Herrera Reyna, Ildefonsa Herrera Reyna, Pablo Herrera Reyna, Eusebio Herrera Reina and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
