Bridgeport ~ Darrell Lee Green, 89, formerly of Albuquerque, New Mexico went to be with our Lord Saturday, November 30, 2019.
A full military service will be at Daniels Funeral Home in Albuquerque at a future date.
Darrell was born October 2, 1930 to Byron and Minnie (Wiemer) Green in Union City, Indiana. He was united in marriage to Sonja for 61 years. Darrell was a retired scientist for Sandia Laboratories in New Mexico. He also proudly served our country in the United States Air Force, retiring as Air Force Sr. Master Sergeant.
He enjoyed traveling, spending time with family as well as sitting in the shop telling old stories. Darrell, liked to donate to the casino’s as he put it, also loved to fish, camp, and make jewelry.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sonja; his son, Danny Green; his granddaughter, (Tash) Natasha Smith; his brother, Byron Green; and his sister, Marcille Ringelman.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Sandy Smith and husband Glen of Paradise, Sharon Wilson and husband Carey; his son, Darryl Green and wife Shannon of Plano; his grandchildren, Niki Smith, Krystine Van Winkle, Scott Wilson, Darrian Green, Hunter Green, Elijah Green, and Kistian Dague; 4 great-grandchildren; his brothers, Loris Green and wife Marcia, Raymond Green and wife Janet; his sister-in-law, Ethel Garcia and husband Frank; a host of family and dear friends. And a special thanks to Karen Arthur.
