I had the honor of living next door to the Spillers for many years. The only thing that made us reluctant to move to a new home was the fact that we would miss having them as neighbors. Mr. Spiller was the kindest, caring, most determined man that I have ever known. Even a few weeks before his death we saw him walking around the block as he did for so many years. I think it was his 82 birthday when he proudly came to tell me and Brenda that he had played golf that morning and had "finally shot his age." May you rest in peace and may God bless the Spiller family.

Charlie was a kind man. When my grandpa, J. T. Luxton passed Charlie and his family allowed our family to use their home to meet at. Their hospitality was wonderful , something I will not forget.
