Bridgeport ~ Sid Brantly, 87, a rancher and machinist, went to be with our Lord Sunday, October 14, 2018, in Arlington.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 18, 2018, at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Post Oak Cemetery in Jack County.
Bro. Sonny Smith will officiate.
Sid was born on May 16, 1931, to Charles and Bartha (Davis) Brantly in Shannon, Texas. He was united in marriage to Wanda Faye Washburn on October 17, 1951, in Fort Worth. Sid was a member of the Balsora Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was also a member of the NRA.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Wanda Faye (Washburn) Brantly.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Sabra Torok and husband Mike of Arlington; his son, Sid Brantly Jr. and wife Viola of Kentucky; his grandchildren, Kerri, Amanda Lynn, Miranda, Sid, Cameron, Cynda, Talita, and William; his 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild on the way; extended family and a host of friends.
