L.T. Green

Granbury ~ Lillard Thomas “L.T.” Green, 98, formerly of Rhome, a retired railroad engineer. L.T. got on “The Train to Glory” early Friday morning on November 27, 2015.

Graveside service is 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 30, 2015, at Aurora Cemetery in Aurora, Texas. Family will receive friends 12-1 p.m. Monday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.

Rev. Fred Utz will officiate.

L.T. was born on November 30, 1916 to Luther Thomas and Ella B. (Leonard) Green in Decatur, Texas. He was united in marriage to Callie Mae Jennings on May 23, 1936 in Rhome, Texas until her passing.  L.T. was a member of Rhome Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 69 years, Callie Green; and his sister, Marguerite Simmons.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Bill Green and wife Sharon of Granbury, Terry Green and wife Sunshine of Granbury, and Charles Green and wife Terri Ann of Grapevine; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
