Joyce (Robbins) Beam

Paradise ~ Joyce Beam, 83, a retired seamstress and house wife, went to be with our Lord Sunday, August 21, 2016 in Paradise.

Graveside Service is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Paradise Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Christian Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.

Rev. Sandy Sanderson, will officiate. Pallbearers include Justin Speights, Gary Lee Speights, Randy Whitfield, Austin Wright, Toni Castillo, John Whitfield, Eric Whitford, Joe Speights, Brian Mason, and James Burman. Honorary pallbearers is Nathan Adams.

Joyce was born on March 21, 1933 to Alfred Robbins and Elfreda (Fite) Robbins in Anton, Texas. She was united in marriage to Merrill Dewey Beam on March 21, 1998 in Henrietta, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her step father, Floyd Watley; her husbands, Junior R. Speights and Merrill D. Beam; her son, Johnny Speights; her son-in-law, Gary L. Elliott; her grandson, Brian Elliott; her sister, Flora Charline Watley; her brothers, James E. Watley and Leroy Watley; and her brother-in-law, Andrew Ganzer.

Those left behind to cherish her memory is her son, Donald Speights and wife Sherry of Roanoke; her two daughters, Sandra Wright and Husband Douglas of Paradise and Carolyn Elliott of Krum. her stepdaughters, Diane Caskey of Houston, Theresa Lindsay and husband Bob of Argyle, Debbie Busey and husband Howard of Decatur; her daughter-in-law, Lisa Speights of Roanoke; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; her sister, Ruby Ganzer of Aubrey; and her brother, Lonnie Watley and wife Charlotte of Anna; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
