Jack Barnard Patterson

Bridgeport ~ Jack Barnard Patterson, 78, an oil & gas industry worker, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, May 18, 2016 in Bridgeport.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2016 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in East Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Rev. Gary Sessions will officiate. Pallbearers include Kenneth Cook, Cody Romines, Rob Shannon, Daniel Offutt, Pat Schmidt, Cory Kelsey and Mike Moss.

Jack was born on March 18, 1938 to Buel and Mildred (Briggs) Patterson in Bennington, Oklahoma. He was united in marriage to Gayle Blevins on August 28, 1961 in Artesia, New Mexico. Jack retired from the oil and gas industry where he worked for Natural Gas, Mitchell Energy, and Chief Oil & Gas. He proudly served his country in the National Guard.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Joyce Bridges, Julia Bray, and Jeannie Treadaway.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 55 years, Gayle Blevins Patterson of Bridgeport; his daughter, Karen Patterson Wier and husband Frank of Bridgeport; his grandchildren, Eric Woodard and wife Carrli of Bridgeport, Heath Woodard of Bridgeport, Candice Woodard of Bridgeport, Tyler Wier of Decatur; his great granddaughter, Brittyn Woodard; his sister, Joan Joy and husband Bill of Artesia, New Mexico; his brothers, Jerry Patterson and wife Bonnie of Garland, James Patterson and wife Cathy of Odessa, Johnny Patterson and wife Rosalee of Picacho, New Mexico, Joe Bob Patterson and wife Jennifer of Arlington; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and a host of friends.
